He has already played a couple of times for them at the time of writing and has already found the back of the net for them.
He had left them for the big move to Barcelona in 2013 going on to win almost everything there is to win in club football and forming a historic trio with Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez. He then left in a controversial world record money move to PSG. At PSG, the performances were there but so were the injuries. He then moved to Al Hilal for a ridiculous salary but barely ever played for them before a mutual contract termination earlier last year.
What is Neymar’s salary at Santos FC?
In his recent return to Santos in 2025, Neymar signed a half-year agreement with a guaranteed salary exceeding $500,000. Furthermore, he will earn 80% of the commercial agreements the club obtains during his time there, as reported by the Daily Mail. The agreement also features a $3,500,000 buyout clause and requires that the star athlete manage his personal life to prevent it from impacting his physical performance, in addition to adhering to the club’s internal regulations.
This contractual framework intends to replicate the effective model from his initial time at the club, adjusting it to contemporary conditions and utilizing digital market prospects and social media to enhance revenue. During his first period at Santos FC (2009-2013), he received a basic salary of around $50,000 each month. Nevertheless, due to earnings from image rights, of which he kept 90%, his monthly income soared to approximately $560,000.
This means that he’s taking a pay cut from what he was earning in Saudi Arabia. However this move is not for financial reasons, it is for sentimental reasons and regaining fitness.
