Top 10 Most Goals Scored in a Single Stadium in Premier League History

Records begin to tumble every time Mohamed Salah takes to the football pitch. The Egyptian has been inevitable this season and registers a goal or an assist almost once every 90 minutes. On Sunday, he entered the top 3 of yet another record. He is tied for third spot for the most goals scored in a single stadium in Premier League history.

Football is all about goals. The Premier League is all about delivering goals in a most spectacular way. A few players have mastered the art of scoring and bagging goals for fun. They have risen to the very top of record statistics by scoring consistently. The top 10 goal scorers list in the Premier League has a lot of familiar names. But there is a lot of spacing too between various players due to the sheer volume of goals scored by the men at the top.

However, the stat in focus today is the most goals scored in a single stadium in Premier League history. Scoring home or away doesn’t matter for the stars in this list. These players have owned the stadiums they play in and know where the net is. They could probably hit the target with their eyes closed.

The gap between the players in this list is very narrow. The top 10 will make for a very interesting reading. You will a particular player twice. You will also find illustrated players and the usual suspects from the high-scoring charts. We will jump right into action.

Kicking the list in 10th place is the Portuguese legend and the Greatest of All Time for the masses, Cristiano Ronaldo. The superstar had his humble beginnings in the Premier League at Manchester United. He was an electric winger under Sir Alexander Fergusson. Apart from incredible tricks and flicks, he had a great eye for goal. He registered 71 goals before leaving for Real Madrid in 2009.

Jamie Vardy is the epitome of a late bloomer. The Englishman hit a peak few could only imagine at Leicester. From non-league football to being a Premier League champion, he has come a long way. In fact, some of his 74 goals scored at the King Power stadium have only helped them become the unlikely Champions in 2016. Vardy is still going strong in 2025 and eyeing to move up the table.

Up next is Chelsea legend and midfield magician Frank Lampard. The current Coventry City manager was a box-to-box engine in his heyday. He used to defend his box with tenacity and then jump forward to finish off a sweeping move. Taking setpieces boosted his goalscoring rate too. He scored 79 of his total 177 goals at Stamford Bridge.

We don’t need a special introduction about Alan Shearer. The legendary striker sits pretty on top of the all-time Premier League top scorers. But we have him in seventh position because of Alan Shearer himself. Yes, you’ve read it right. The English forward occupies two positions in the top 10 list of most goals scored in a single stadium in Premier League history. His 83 goals for Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park see him in seventh position.

In 6th position or joint 5th position is Anfield’s very own God Robbie Fowler. Nicknamed “God of Anfield”, the charismatic striker was a force of nature at Anfield and scored goals at an astonishing rate. He was the record goalscorer for Liverpool in the Premier League till who else but Mohamed Salah broke his record. He scored 85 times at Anfield and earned the nickname he has now.

5. Alan Shearer – 85 Goals

Well, we are back with Alan Shearer again. But this version of Alan Shearer is a Geordie. After winning the Premier League with Balckburn Rovers and scoring 83 times at home for them, he made the switch to Newcastle United in 1996. This came after moves to Real Madrid and Manchester United failed to materialize. Shearer joined his boyhood club Newcastle United.

A change in scenario couldn’t change any of his instincts as he only got better. He stayed 10 years with them and endeared himself to St James’ Park crowd. He also became the record goalscorer in the Premier League and the record might stand for quite some time given the ridiculous scoring standards even now. Sherer scored 85 times at home for his second Premier League club.

4. Mohamed Salah – 101 Goals

After his recent goal against Wolves this Sunday, Mohamed Salah drew level with Rooney at third in the list of the most goals scored in a single stadium in Premier League history. The Egyptian King owned Anfield like no one before and eclipsed all sorts of scoring records for the Reds. No one would have imagined a winger branded as a Chelsea reject would go on to achieve this.

Mohamed Salah was signed by Jurgen Klopp as a pacy outlet with an eye for goal. But his jaw-dropping debut season made everyone believe a star was born. He kept his levels throughout and never really had a bad season at Anfield. As he is aging, he is compensating his pace with his insane playmaking. Salah leads the current season in both goals and assists chart. With 101 efforts at Anfield and 180 overall Premier League goals, he could easily climb up a couple of spots in both the overall scoring chart and this chart. Probably the Balon d’Or is heading to Anfield again eh?

3. Wayne Rooney – 101 Goals

Liverpool-born Wayne Rooney made Manchester his home. The enigmatic forward entertained Old Trafford with his heroics after a sensational switch from Everton. He became a world-beater under Sir Alex Fergusson and was part of his many iconic teams that dominated the Premier League.

Wayne Rooney lifted 5 Premier League titles while scoring 208 goals in the Premier League. A good chunk of them have come in Red for him. Rooney’s cold celebration with his arms stretched was done nearly every time he scored in the famous stadium. He scored 101 times at home and nearly an equal amount away from home as well. Tells you how rounded he was as a forward.

2. Sergio Aguero – 106 Goals

The Argentine is considered one of the best strikers the league has ever seen. The Manchester City club legend was not the biggest man on the pitch always. But the punch he used to pack was an incredible one. He danced with the ball like a winger and scored with perfection like an artist.

Aguero spent his entire Premier League career with Manchester City. However, it was under Pep Guardiola that he hit his peak. Aguero’s sublime finishing be it with either foot or head was a thing of beauty. He scored 184 times in the league with a whopping 106 of them coming at the Etihad Stadium.

1. Thierry Henry – 114 Goals

Often hailed as the finest import in the Premier League’s history, Thierry Henry was one hell of a footballer. His technique, pace, IQ, and class were out of this world. Under Arsene Wenger, he developed into a true global icon. His partnership with Denis Bergkamp marked an era at Arsenal.

Oh, and one of the first that comes to mind when we think of Henry at Arsenal is the Highbury stadium. It was the carpet of Henry’s magic show. It saw Henry run through brick walls, and score audacious lobs, flicks and freekicks. The entire stadium erupted in joy when he hit his famous celebration on the turf. They cheered it with the same joy 114 times before the stadium was brought down in 2006 and Henry left for Barcelona in 2009.

The Highbury was Henry’s favourite ground and he had an intimate relation with it. The most iconic moment was Henry scoring a hat trick at the Highbury stadium in its last-ever game.
