2 | Alexander Isak | Newcastle | £9.5m | 152 points | Manchester City |
3 | Chris Wood | Nottingham Forest | £7.1m | 152 points | Fulham |

5. Erling Haaland – Manchester City | 149 points | £14.7m

Erling Haaland is a very interesting player in Fantasy Premier League this season. Manchester City have not been particularly good this season and the 4 time PL holders are 5th in the table, a whopping 16 points behind leaders Liverpool. Haaland has scored 19 goals already this season, a far cry from the terrible season that City have been having. In terms of goal contributions, he is only third in the league behind Mo Salah and Alexander Isak. Just a couple of days ago, he scored twice against Real Madrid even though City went on to lose the game. Haaland seems to have returned to form, making him a prime candidate for Fantasy Premier League once again. Don’t bet against him scoring versus Newcastle this weekend.
4. Cody Gakpo – Liverpool | 94 points | £7.6m

A considerable amount of Liverpool’s attacking output this season has come from Mo Salah. Nevertheless, there have been other players contributing as the Reds have risen to the top of the table. Cody Gakpo is one of those players. He has netted 8 goals and supplied 3 assists. This is a perfect moment to place a wager on him. Diogo Jota is presently sidelined due to fitness concerns, and Arne Slot seems to have limited faith in Darwin Nunez’s skills. The forthcoming matches for Liverpool are also advantageous to capitalize on. They have a double game week against Wolves and Aston Villa, where Gakpo is expected to excel.
3. Chris Wood – Nottingham Forest | 154 points | £7.1m

If anyone claims that they had any idea that Chris Wood would be playing this season like he has been, they are either a psychic or straight up lying. In fact, Wood now has the record for the most goals for Nottingham Forest in the Premier League. He has also fired the club into the Champions League place with his 17 goals and 2 assists. Last weekend he scored a remarkable hattrick against Brighton in a 7-0 win. He has already gone past his tally of last season and will be looking to provide the goals continuously as Forest bid to make it into Europe. This weekend, Forest play Fulham and Wood will be looking to score again. In current form, he looks likely to increase his tally.
2. Alexander Isak – Newcastle | 152 points | £9.5m

Alexander Isak is currently in excellent form. Newcastle began the season inconsistently; however, they are performing well at this time. They achieved 8 straight victories, with three of those wins against Manchester United, Spurs, and Arsenal. Isak found the net in 7 of these 8 matches. The Swedish striker has netted 17 goals this season and has provided 5 assists, and recently, he has reached impressive form. The last couple of weeks though we haven’t seen the best of the Swede who many consider to be the best striker in the league. With Newcastle facing Manchester City’s massively underperforming defence this week, expect fireworks from Isak.
1. Ollie Watkins – Aston Villa | 116 points | £8.9m

Much of the attention concerning Aston Villa forwards has been aimed at Jhon Duran this season, who has recently departed for Saudi Arabia. This is partly because Ollie Watkins, who thrived last season, experienced a slow start this season. Nevertheless, he has been performing exceptionally well of late. He has already netted 10 goals and recorded 5 assists this season, which exceeds Duran’s totals. He has contributed to 4 goals in his last 3 matches across all competitions, demonstrating impressive form. This weekend, Villa encounters a double gameweek against Ipswich and Liverpool, and Watkins is expected to deliver results.
As we turn our attention to Gameweek 25, the Premier League has a thrilling set of fixtures lined up. The highlight of the weekend is the double gameweek. Both Aston Villa and Liverpool play twice with one of their games being against each other and the other against Ipswich Town and Wolves respectively.
The deadline for GW25 is on the 15th of February.
