RCB Snubs Virat Kohli, Announces 31-Year-Old as New Captain
IPL Franchise Royal Challengers Bengaluru, known as RCB, announced their official captain for Indian Premier League season 2025. Rajat Patidar will lead the team to the maiden trophy this year.
As we are heading towards a new exciting season of the Indian Premier League (IPL), RCB supporters and their loyal fans wait is finally getting over as Royal Challengers Bengaluru has officially announced their new captain for the season of 2025.

As a futuristic decision of RCB Management Rajat Patidar has been elected to lead RCB in 2025, this is the first time he will be leading an IPL Team, but he has already been doing captaincy in the Domestic circuit. Previously, he has captained Madhya Pradesh in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and Vijay Hazare Trophy. He Led his team to the finals of SMAT 2024. He had a decent season as captain and showed his potential as a captain as well.

Rajat Patidar started his cricketing career with his debut in the Ranji Trophy for Madhya Pradesh in 2015, he also made his T20 debut for Madhya Pradesh in the Zonal T20 League in 2018. In the 2018-19 Ranji Trophy, Rajat Patidar was the Leading Run scorer for Madhya Pradesh with 713 runs in 8 matches. In 2019 he was named in the India Blue’s squad for the Duleep Trophy.
