Under-17 U.S. team thrbnemopashed the Virgin Islands team in a CONCACAF Qualifier Opener

Something rare and unexpected happened on Monday when the U.S. under-17 men’s national team went all guns blazing against the U.S. Virgin Islands team. Who would have thought they wouldn’t show mercy to their opposition? Right? Well, they certainly didn’t, as they scored 22 goals and kept a clean sheet to make things more interesting.

The game was played at the Estadio Nacional in Costa Rica for the CONCACAF U-17 qualifier opener. The U.S. under-17 team had already breached the 14-0 score line at half-time and still continued to dominate and thrashed their opponents even more in the second half. The previous record for most goals in a game in the CONCACAF U-17 was 12, which they already equaled by the 43rd minute.

Chase Adams of the U.S. men’s U-17 team scored an unbelievable 10 goals, breaking the record for most goals scored in a single game in this competition. Chance Cowell and Jude Terry netted twice, while Maximo Carrizo scored 4, while Pedro Guimaraes, Ramiz Hamouda, Jamir Johnson, and Kellan LeBlanc scored one goal each.
