Man City reveals fourth major January signing Nico González from FC Porto

The English Premier League champions, Man City have announced their fourth significant January arrival at the Etihad after completing the signing of FC Porto midfielder Nico González on a £50 million deal.

The Spanish midfielder has signed a four-and-a-half-year contract with the Sky Blues to strengthen their weakened midfield unit. City have been monitoring the 23-year-old midfield over a long term before securing his signature.

With González’s arrival, the English champions have spent a staggering £180 million figure in the January Transfer window on signings to make vital reinforcements to their depleted squad.

The former Barca player stated, “This is the perfect opportunity for me at this stage of my career. I want to test myself in England. There’s no better club than Manchester City for me to do that.”
