Luton Town vs Man United Player Ratings- Hojlund continues impressive run to lead United’s charge

Man United registered their fourth consecutive Premier League win on Sunday (Feb 18) after they beat Luton Town 2-1 at Kenilworth Road. Scoring in his sixth consecutive game in the Premier League match, Rasmus Hojlund was the hero of the hour for United as they now sit within five points of fourth place Aston Villa. On the other hand, Luton Town showed fight but could be in the relegation zone by the time they take on Liverpool on Wednesday with Everton’s positive result on Monday against Crystal Palace having bearings.

Andre Onana (6/10)

Andre Onana might have done more to discourage Morris. His footwork relieved the pressure and helped slow down the game.

Diogo Dalot (5/10)

Diogo Dalot failed to handle Alfie Doughty for extended periods of time and ruined an opportunity for a one-on-one with Thomas Kaminski.

Harry Maguire (5/10)

Harry Maguire struggled a little bit in his match against Luton. He might have been booked long before he got yellow for being late to multiple tackles and was taken off as a precaution at halftime.

Raphael Varane (8/10)

The finest defender for United at Kenilworth Road was Raphael Varane, who headed away several crosses from Luton.

Luke Shaw (6/10)

Luke Shaw played some really good parts and extinguished a lot of flames, including securing a reservation for a big challenge. Removed ahead of the half time due to concern for more injuries.

Casemiro threw the ball away too frequently in midfield and could have been sent off in the first half. However, Hojlund’s first goal was set up by Casemiro’s long ball downfield.

Bruno Fernandes (5/10)

Bruno Fernandes made some careless passes, but in the end, he put in a lot of effort to contain Luton and made a crucial block to keep Gabriel Osho from leveling.

Alejandro Garnacho (4/10)

Alejandro Garnacho made several poor choices, most notably when he mishandled his attempt to pass the ball around Kaminski.

Marcus Rashford (5/10)

Marcus Rashford made a number of excellent runs with the ball and some risky shots, but his communication with teammates wasn’t the best.

Made a stunning goal-saving block in the second half.

A class act on the ball and extremely effective off it too, winning eight duals.

Caused Man Utd problems with his deliveries into the box.

Tahith Chong’s deflected shot gave Luton the goal and found dangerous intersections between the lines.

Carlton Morris reacted quickly to score in the first half at the back post. Skillfully led the press for his squad as well.
